Re-worked the ground work with some sea shells sculpted from epoxy putty. Moving on to finish the figure.

Hi All,
I am writing from the 57th Shizuoka Hobby Show and it has so far been nothing less than awesome. Today marks the day where I personally presented the 1/35 scale Tamiya US Tankcrew that was made for the Model Art DVD to the highly esteemed Mr Shunsaku Tamiya where it will be permanently exhibited in the Tamiya archive room at Tamiya HQ in Shizuoka.
Cheers,
Calvin

Alpine Miniatures - Kampfgruppe Hansen Poteau 1944
Almost halfway through this overdue project for a fellow modeler. The MG-42 rounds and the shovel blade were painted using the Non Metallic Metal (NMM) technique which has seen widespread popularity among the fantasy circle in these recent years. Personally I feel that there are some merit to this approach as it allows more colors to be incorporated onto the 3 dimensional canvas. Took me an afternoon to study and figure out the colors that would be most effective in representing brass on such a minute scale and I hope that it passes off well.
Cheers,
Calvin
