Feldwebel, 516 Infantry Regiment, Stalingrad, 1942

I finally added the finishing touches to this quick project in which the main purpose was to present the figure against a simple and novel backdrop using the stairs and truss from MiniArt Model's Pedestrian bridge. I am very pleased on the outcomes and there are plans to utilize more of such structural layouts for future projects.

Hauptmann, Infantry Regiment 516, Stalingrad, 1942

This a work in progress of another Stalingrad themed subject. The figure is a 3D print from H3 Models (HS35052) fitted with a spare head from Panzerart. The backdrop is composed with a flight of stairs taken from Miniart Models pedestrian bridge set attached to a  brick wall section from Hero Hobby Kits. As one can see, adding steps to your backdrop can indeed level up your presentation 😬.

IDF 7th Armoured Brigade, Valley of Tears, Yom Kippur 1973

Last week, my Canon EOS 650D gave up on me and gave me a good reason to trade it in with the local Canon dealership to get a discount on the new Canon EOS R8 camera.

I took some test shots with the EOS R8 on one of my personal favorite projects and I am no doubt very impressed with the colours and the  degree of sharpness of the image.

Alpine Miniatures - III/SS-PzGren-Rgt 2, Ardennes, 1944

During the past week, I found myself refurbishing an old Alpine Miniatures boxart completed back in 2010 with some additions to the groundwork and minor touch ups for the figures.

I got into some creative mischief with the oil drums by toppling them over the edge of the base; "break the fourth wall" so to speak and adding some levity to the scene.
