101st Airborne Division, Normandy 1944

This is a 1/35 scale figure from H3 Model which I could not resist painting this weekend. Surprisingly the clean up was not as complex and it does paint up rather well with the AK Gen 3 acrylics.

Cheers,

Calvin

Hello Calvin,
Nice to see someone actually paint one of these figures!. I have my eye on the sitting paratrooper in Normandy from H3 Models. How do these figures add up compared to Alpine for quality?

The details are extremely fine and delicate as per the actual artifact. Though extremely accurate, the details are quite challenging to paint. Alpine figures are hand sculpts and therefore naturally compliment better with hand painting. Another notable mention is that the canon of proportion adopted for these figures fall into the 8-head Andrew Loomis model.
It does make the figure appear more elegant but you will also end up with a smaller head. All said, it is a nice figure to paint but I do prefer if some of the finer details could be slightly exaggerated to make painting at this scale a little easier.

That´s what I see on the figures from Nemeod, their US figures are finally detailed, but difficult to paint. There are some size proportion issues here and there ie.(head,hands,feet).i never had an issue painting anything from Alpine, just enough butter and milk and flour. Thanks
