17th SS Panzergrenadier Division Götz von Berlichingen, Normandy 1944

Here's an update on how things went over the weekend. I swapped out the left hand for one from HD Models.

Painting using Werner Palinckx's book on Waffen-SS Camouflage uniforms in the background as reference.

The "Medal Hunter", US 4th Armored Division, ETO, 1945

This Alpine figure (35009) is a shelf queen from possibly 2006. It sat in cold storage until this morning, when I decided to pull it out and replace the original Alpine head with the spare head from 35303 WW2 US Infantry NCO. The medals are Aber photoetch offerings, and the groundwork is made up of items from my scrap box. There are several minor refinements to be done before I can call this completed.

Calvin

August 2023 Issue of Armour Modelling

After months of anticipation, my article on Tamiya's late war German Infantry Set's complete construction and painting process has been published in the August 2023 issue of Armour Modelling magazine. I am also honored to have my work grace the cover. Many thanks to the Armour Modelling Magazine editorial staff for their diligence and the opportunity to collaborate.

Alpine Miniatures - 2nd US Armored Division, NW Europe, 1944

A heartfelt thanks to Hyun Jin of DEF Model for his generous assistance to model and 3D-print the M1 gun muzzle brake, without whom the narrative of this scene will not be fully completed. Thank you again bro for the help and the nice snack that came along :).

Cheers,

Calvin
