SS-Scharführer, LSSAH, Normandy 1944

This is an oldie made in 2004 for one of the chapters of the Osprey title Modelling Waffen SS Figures published in 2005.

Cheers,

Lovely photos! Any chance for reshot of other pieces from Osprey book? Because in the book there is something off with color temperature of photos.

Hi Calvin

From the quality of your work both old and new I imagine that you are always looking to finesse your skills and the quality of your output, and I'd love to hear your analysis of those aspects of your more recent works are a clear improvement on your older figures.

Hi Michal, I currently have two of the 4 builds from the Osprey book. I will see what I can manage for the second on in my collection.

On the contrary, I am working a lot looser and quicker these days; focusing less on the finesse. My current goal is to tell a story/capture a mood rather then rendering a nice figure. Therefore I would consider this figure as the bolt counter equivalent of camo painting. It is mentally exhausting trying to match the camouflage pattern against the actual artefact and at the end of the day it is just a technical challenge for myself.
